WHO IS TOM
Tom is a runner from the center of the Netherlands. In 2018 I started at a local running club with the goal of finishing a 10 km, after successfully completing this the challenges only became greater. From a 1/2 marathon to a marathon and then even further and spread over several days. My drive for perfection led me to delve into the theory and techniques behind running. I have become a smarter runner and have more knowledge about training and racing. Learned from my mistakes and see myself as a student of the sport. I know what it takes to achieve goals, how to get there and embrace the process. Ultimately, the process is where the beauty, fun and challenges starts!
WHAT IS TOM
A Certified running coach. In the spring of 2024, I successfully obtained my running trainer diploma through the ALO in collaboration with the Dutch athletics union. During the training I gained both theoretical knowledge and practical skills. For example, learned more about anatomy and physiology, so that you know which processes take place in the body during running. I also learned everything about various training forms, running techniques, methodologies, eating strategies and strength training. In the autumn of 2024 I also successfully obtained my Trailrunning guide, trainer and coach certificate in Innsbruck Austria. This certificate was obtained from the Austrian skyrunning and trailrunning association (ASTA).
